The COVID-19 pandemic has affected people across the globe but sadly, the orphans are some of the hardest hit in developing countries where there are already too few resources available to support the care and development of these children. Recognizing that many orphans and vulnerable children rely on meals at school to fill their bellies, with schools being closed, this has been extremely hard for children.

In response, OVC in partnership with local NGOs has launched the Read & Feed Orphans project to ensure children receive weekly meals while schools are closed, and are also encouraged to read.
