About OVC Connexions Ghana

OVC Connexions Ghana leads the delivery of social, emotional and educational interventions to positively impact orphans and vulnerable children in Ghana. We partner with local organizations including residents, churches, schools, government officials and other NGOs.

Our History

In 2018, the USA nonprofit Sustainable Connexions International (SusCo) began working in partnership with local Ghanaian organizations to implement programs and initiatives to support orphans and caregivers. In 2019, SusCo’s leadership decided to establish OVC Connexions Ghana to serve as the primary NGO to lead projects in Ghana.

The creation of OVC Connexions Ghana allows for the ongoing support necessary to impact the lives of orphans and other vulnerable children. Leveraging the expertise of local board and project team members, OVC Connexions Ghana works to advance change in targeted villages – particularly given the devastation caused by COVID-19 pandemic.

OVC Connexions has quickly scaled-up partnerships with local leaders to increase support for orphans and other vulnerable children struggling to survive. In creating OVC Connexions Ghana as an affiliate, Sustainable Connexions now receives local advice to help raise international awareness and funding to support programming in Ghana.
